As a single refrigerant, HFO-1234yf has excellent environmental parameters, GWP=4, ODP=0, lifetime climatological performance (LCCP) is lower than HFC-134a, and atmospheric decomposition products are the same as HFC-134a. And its system performance is better than HFC-134a. If HFO-1234yf is used instead of HFC-134a refrigerant, car manufacturers can continue to use the Mobile Air-Conditioning (MAC) system. Therefore, HFO-1234yf is considered to be a new generation of automotive refrigerant substitutes with potential, and has been accepted by automobile manufacturers in Western Europe
